General Motors India is planning a recall to its two more models-SUV diesel variant of Sail sedan and UV-A hatchback soon after the recall of about 114,000 Taveras, its multi utility vehicle. The company had made this recall to fix emission and quality based issues in diesel engine.
P Balendran, Corporate affairs’ Vise President said, “We still have to take decision for the recall of Sail, but are looking for all possibilities”. Both Sail models Sail and Sail U-VA were having some technical, emission, fuel pipe and quality issues due to which their manufacturing was stopped from 5th June. The company officials said that the fault has been detected and now have start Sail diesel production within two weeks.
